As the leading association for the U.S. confectionery industry, NCA helps ensure the public understands and appreciates the unique role that chocolate and candy can play in a happy, balanced lifestyle.
POSITION OVERVIEW: Responsible for facilitating public policy outreach to engaged NCA members and Capitol Hill staff, and for supporting efforts around political activities.
Support efforts to increase grassroots engagement and policy understanding by NCA member companies.
Participate in industry coalition meetings, advocacy activities and work closely with the Director of Government Affairs on lobbying and other Capitol Hill engagement.
Update and maintain public policy sections of website and leverage engagement tools.
Provide support during the planning and execution of the confectionery industry fly-in event, and also with the development of briefing materials and webinar content.
This position reports to the Senior Vice President of Public Policy.
QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree; 1-3 years of Capitol Hill or related experience; excellent communications skills and attention to detail; proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
Salary commensurate with experience.
