Association of California Water Agencies seeks a Senior Regional Affairs Representative
About the Position
The Senior Regional Affairs Representative serves as technical expert on ACWA region policies, rules and regulations, serves as project manager for a variety of region activities, assists with the development and implementation of member outreach strategies and serves as representative in the field to build and foster relationships in the regions.
The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will possess project management skills, a knowledge of member recruitment and retention strategy development and implementation, knowledge of grassroots outreach practices, an ability to interpret and apply region policies, rules and procedures, and present information to assigned regions in an effective manner. The position requires frequent travel to assigned regions. Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in government, public relations, marketing, business administration or a related field and four years of experience comparable to a Field Representative performing duties including government relations or public relations coupled with member relationship and/or client services support within a membership association.
Compensation and Benefits
The annual salary range is $80,860 - $105,117. Salary placement is based on qualifications. ACWA offers a competitive benefits package that includes CalPERS retirement, medical insurance, and dental insurance.
