EnviroIssues is looking for a sharp, energetic associate to join an award-winning team supporting the largest capital project in Washington state history, the SR 520 Bridge Replacement and HOV Program. Based in downtown Seattle’s Wells Fargo Center, this position is part of our communications team that provides strategic communications planning, community outreach, media relations (traditional and social), website management, video production, and other core communications services for a $4.6 billion state highway megaproject.
Qualified applicants will have:
1 to 3 years of experience in a communications role
Strong writing skills, ideally with some news writing experience and familiarity with AP style
Experience with social media, including creating and guiding social media plans and crafting messages
Strong website skills (e.g., drafting and posting content, editing webpages)
The ability to analyze and digest complex, technical issues and produce clear, understandable messages for public audiences in a variety of formats (e.g., fact sheets, folios, e-newsletters, talking points)
Some experience with video planning, production and editing
Strong organizational skills, with ability to work simultaneously on multiple assignments
The ability to strategically guide, manage and triage public correspondence
An interest in large, complex public works projects
